A quick intro, for anyone new here.
I'm Joe Zanca, and I run DealGen Partners. We outsource business development for private equity firms, family offices, and qualified buyers. We work as a partner, not as a vendor. In plain terms, we become your deal origination engine.
The work speaks for itself. On average, our clients are under LOI within the first 90 to 120 days. And we stand behind it: we'll bring you 10 qualified deals within the first four months, or we work for free until we hit that number.
So if you're looking for a new platform company to buy, or one of your existing platforms is looking to grow through acquisition, let's talk. We'll get into the industry, do a little market mapping, and start putting together a qualified list of targets.

Most buyers who call an owner are quietly telling him something is wrong with his company. Dry Fly Capital starts from the opposite place.
Dry Fly is a lower middle market private equity firm in Littleton, Colorado. It has four partners and no associate layer. When an owner takes their call, he’s talking to the people who decide.
Their thesis is simple. They look for companies with 10 or more years of positive EBITDA whose sales and marketing are out of date, or never existed, because the brand was strong enough to carry the business without them. Then they invest in what’s missing: a brand refresh, digital marketing, a real sales team, technology, new locations and talent.
They’ve done it before. They’ve fully realized two platforms, Westland Distributing and Tri-Arc Manufacturing, and both grew through add-on acquisitions. Their current platform, Mytee Products, has already added Square Scrub and Clean Solutions. One partner, Doug Robinson, spent nearly three decades advising sellers as an investment banker before building and selling his own firm.
We’re helping Dry Fly find their next company. Here’s what they’re looking for:
Manufacturing, value-add distribution, wholesale, infrastructure and services
$2M to $10M EBITDA
10+ years of operating history with multiple years of positive EBITDA
A niche or specialty position in a fragmented industry, with a strong brand and loyal customers
Owner-operators heading into their next phase who want the legacy to carry on
If you are open to reviewing some of the recent deals we've found, or search thesis' we've put together, lets schedule a call today.
A lot of owners worry a buyer will see their business as a fixer-upper. The good buyers see something else. If customers have kept coming back for 30 years without a marketing budget, that’s not a weakness. That’s the asset.
If your business has grown for years on reputation alone, what could it do with a real sales engine behind it?
This is the part of the newsletter where we open up the board.
Every idea you'll find here is a search we'd happily run with the right partner. An idea earns its spot one of two ways. Either it's a space where we're seeing strong deal flow right now and we're looking for a buyer to chase it with us — or it's a market we've watched fragment, where we see a real opportunity to build something through consolidation.
Feel free to click around and browse our idea database. If one of them fits what you're after, reach out and let's run it together.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to compare notes. schedule a call
